Does anyone know of good lifestyle firm? I'm trying to lateral someplace that will give me more time with my family but I don't want to give up the salary and interesting deals. |

With my family, I need to stay west coast. Will consider Bay Area or Seattle, but others will be considered too. |

Couple of years out and work in corporate. I know it's a long shot to find a "lifestyle" firm with some of the perks of BigLaw, but if it's a worth a shot, then I'll give it a chance. Love my wife, my young kids, and I'd rather not end up divorced with a bunch of kids that resent me. |

MoFo is a great firm. I have a friend in their SF office and his hours are not crazy, 2000 or so. Try Fenwick, Sheppard, Stoel, Chapman, Shartsis, Hanson Bridgett. I moved to a lifestyle firm a few years back. The hours are still a lot, but it's easier to get out of the office at 6 and work from home if I have to. Lucky for you, it's easy for corp. associates to lateral in-house after a few years. Some in-house positions are still crazy, but most are somewhat better. |
