why not shoot for penn? it's right next door and ranked far higher.... gives you more exit options as well as having a very strong relationship with local philly biglaw firms |

unfortunately penn's just a bit too much of a long shot for me to think it's worth the 75 bucks to apply |

what in the lord's vain name is wrong with you? $75 is your best excuse?you need to have less than a 1% chance of getting into penn for $75 bucks not to be worth the skills, connections, and reputation you're going to have for your entire life if you go to Penn rather than Temple. if you just said it was your ego and you didn't want the rejection letter because it would make you cry then I would be nice and refrain from ranting like this, but $75?!?!!! I mean that's, what, two weeks of Starbucks for a Penn degree?! oh my jesus lord almighty... |

Penn doesn't publish their acceptance grid like a lot of other schools, so I can't determine whether my chance is indeed below 1%, but I'd wager it's pretty close. Something tells me that having an LSAT 6 points below their median and a GPA also about .7 on the southern side of their average does not bode even 1% well for my admission there. I may still apply there just for the hell of it so that I'll never have to wonder "what if...?" but if I had to guess right now I'd say it'll be wasted money. |

Shoot for the best school possible. Can always head back to philly if you're from the region. |
