It's ranked No. 27 in the new 2009 U.S. News & World Report rankings, but I don't feel like I hear all that much about it as a top-notch law school. Anyone graduate from there? If so, what has your post-grad experience been like. Alternatively, anyone who did not go there have an idea of what it's reputation is like to biglaw firms, especially outside of NYC?

I practice on the West Coast and rarely ever run into a Fordham grad. I'm guessing they are bigger on the East Coast, especially in NY. I would only go there if you want to practice in the NE. If you want to practice in the South or West, you would be better off going to a local or regional school ranked 40 than to Fordham. Only top 10 or top 20 schools at best justify leaving your target geographic area.

Think Harvard. Think Yale.

Im a 2L at Fordham and received summer offers from 3 big firms in New York. I didn't apply outside the city but it definitely has a good rep in town.

Great school for NYC biglaw. But very weak alumni network everywhere else. If you want a biglaw firm in NYC, it is a fine choice (just make sure to be in the top third/half of your class).

one-trick pony. completely unknown (rather, uncared about one way or another) outside of new york. great example of a very strong regional school. but, soon as it revs up to 4000rpm, engine cuts off.
