I’m embarrassed to be posting this here, because I know these are serious law boards and my question is very non-serious, but I could use some advice and I think you all are the best to give it. Sorry if it’s annoying, I really don’t mean to be! My boyfriend is going to law school in September, and as a Happy Law School present I bought him an awesome briefcase that he’s been wanting, and am now looking to fill it with useful law schooly things. Most of my ideas are fluff—a stress ball, some caffeine pills for all nighters, jokey things like that, but I’d like some of it to actually be useful. I know the standard stuff like flash cards, writing instruments, basic school supplies, but is there anything unexpected that you all found extemely useful that a plebian like myself wouldn’t think of that I could include in the briefcase?

Thanks!

An interview binder/folder; a legal dictionary (Blacks is pricey, but is the most reputable); the book 1L, the movie The Paper Chase; a framed picture of you
