No. I would have become a vetrinarian. |

I would have spent another year and got a joint degree, maybe relaxed a little more (easier said now). That being said, I'm glad it's over and I'm glad I have the degree. I've guaranteed myself to make a great income for the rest of my life, even if I don't want to practice law. I get to network with rich and powerful people I would not have access to without my law degree and big firm gig. I have disposable income and a little free time to launch side deals. I have a cushy life compared to most Americans and I am shockingly lucky compared to most mankind. |

I agree. Who knows if I would like my other career any better; at least I make a lot of money and I have lots of options outside the firm. If I had not gone to law school, I probably would wish I had. |

M.J. No. I would have become a vetrinarian. This is exactly what I would have done too. |

It's not too late. Just 8 more years of school. Come on, you're only $200K in debt, what's another $500K? |

Go for it. Brown nosing rich ladies and convincing them their beautiful is not much different that dealing with legal clients and obnoxious partners. At least you get to work with semi-hot girls all day; which partially makes up for the rest of your day sitting around complaining about your low pay and the paltry tips the rich ladies leave you. |

Do you really think doctors have it that much better than attorneys? The biggest difference in my mind is respect in the community, which lawyers neither have nor deserve. Other than that, they both work a ton, have high stress and responsibilities (if you're good) and get second guessed all day by their clients. Not to mention the fact that they have to do some pretty disgusting stuff (think colorectal exam). |
