Anyone have any input? I am going into Employee Benefits and have heard conflicting reports. Does anyone have any insight? Also what type of hours do you pull? Thanks |

I don't know much about employee benefits, but I know employment law can be a tough, low billable practice. I'm guessing it is similar for EB. In my firm, the L&E clients are cheap and the partners really ride the associates to be efficient and keep the bills down. I have nothing against efficiency, but this translates into more hours worked and unnecessary stress. Doing good thorough work and hitting your minimum billables is stressful enough without having to worry about how much the final bill will be. That is for the partners to worry about and to discuss with associates in general terms. Life's too short to worry about bills that early in your career. |
